        Graduate / Chartered Building Surveyor

        • Salary: £35000 - £55000 per annum
        • Location: City of London
        • Job type: Permanent

We’re working with a well-established London based consultancy specialising in commercial, residential and educational property projects across the capital and wider South East. Due to continued growth, they are seeking either a newly Chartered Building Surveyor or an experienced Graduate Building Surveyor working towards MRICS status.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist practice offering professional development, structured APC support (if required), and exposure to a wide range of building surveying instructions.
        The Role
Working as part of a small, professional team, you’ll undertake traditional building surveying services across both modern and historic buildings. The workload is varied, client-facing and technically challenging, offering the chance to develop rounded professional experience.
        Responsibilities include:

        • Preparing Schedules of Dilapidations and Schedules of Condition
        • Carrying out measured surveys for reinstatement cost assessments
        • Preparing specifications and tender documentation
        • Assisting with Party Wall matters and neighbourly disputes
        • Supporting Planned Maintenance and refurbishment projects
        • Undertaking site inspections, defect analysis and reporting
        • Liaising with clients, contractors and professional teams throughout project delivery

Experience with AutoCAD, reinstatement valuations and Planning/Building Control submissions would be beneficial, but not essential.
        About You

        • BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying – essential
        • Graduate Building Surveyor with APC progression, or recently Chartered (MRICS)
        • Experience within professional building surveying (consultancy or client-side)
        • Strong technical reporting and specification writing skills
        • Confident dealing with clients, contractors and professional consultants
        • Keen to develop long-term surveying and project delivery skills

        Why This Role?

        • Opportunity to build a long-term career within a respected consultancy
        • Professional development and APC support where required
        • Exposure to a varied portfolio of commercial, residential and education projects
        • Supportive team culture with space to grow and take on responsibility
        • Generous salary and progression for the right candidate
