Bid Manager
We’re working with a highly respected, award-winning design practice with studios across the UK, recognised for its innovative approach to architecture, urban design and placemaking. The studio has an outstanding track record delivering complex, high-profile projects that shape communities and set benchmarks for sustainable design.
They are now seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their London team, taking a pivotal role in winning major new commissions across both public and private sectors.
The Role
As Bid Manager, you’ll lead the development and delivery of high-quality, compelling submissions that help the practice stand out in a competitive market. Working closely with senior partners, designers and the marketing team, you’ll oversee the full bid lifecycle — from initial opportunity through to submission and feedback — while continuously refining bid strategies and content libraries to ensure excellence.
This is a strategic, fast-paced role that offers genuine scope to make an impact at a national level, supporting a diverse range of disciplines including architecture, landscape, interiors, planning and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate bids, tenders and competitions from launch through to submission and interview.
- Develop clear, winning strategies in collaboration with project leads and partners.
- Manage bid teams, ensuring smooth communication across multiple stakeholders.
- Edit, proof and shape tender responses to ensure quality, compliance and impact.
- Oversee procurement portals and submission requirements.
- Maintain and develop a best-in-class bid library of reusable content.
- Support post-bid reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Extensive experience in a bid or proposals management role, ideally within the built environment or a related creative industry.
- Proven success managing complex bids end-to-end, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, writing and editing abilities.
- Confident coordinating multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign).
- A collaborative mindset and genuine enthusiasm for design and placemaking.
Why This Role?
